LEVANTLEAKS

About

An independent desk for the Levant.

LevantLeaks is an investigative intelligence platform tracking sanctions evasion, ship-to-ship transfers, financial networks, and maritime surveillance across Lebanon, Syria, and the Eastern Mediterranean.

What we do

OSINT, but accountable

We combine open-source intelligence with primary documents, leaked or otherwise, and publish only what can be verified across at least two independent sources. The result is a slower newsroom by design, optimised for being right rather than being first.

  • 01

    Evidence first

Every claim we publish is backed by a primary source: a filing, a registry entry, an AIS track, an OFAC record, or a verified document. If we can’t show it, we don’t print it.

  • 02

    Independent

No government, party, or interest group funds, directs, or reviews our reporting. We operate alone and small on purpose.

  • 03

    Levant-grounded

Our focus is the Eastern Mediterranean: Lebanon, Syria, and the maritime corridor that moves oil, money, and influence between them. We cover what a regional desk would, not what a wire would.

  • 04

    Source protected

Anonymous submissions are accepted by design. We do not log identifying metadata on tips, and editors are the only people with access to the intake queue.
